About Shea
"shea pacheco makes alt-rock confessionals that map the territory between psychological collapse and the stubborn will to stay."
Shea Pacheco is an Atlanta-based singer-songwriter whose music sits at the intersection of raw emotional confession and melodic alt-rock craft — think early Liz Phair's intimacy and Phoebe Bridgers' melancholy, with the instincts of Rilo Kiley threaded throughout. From Boston and relocated to Atlanta in 2020, Pacheco spent years honing a performer's instincts through acting before channeling that same commitment to presence and truth into songwriting.
Following two self-produced releases, under ether marks a significant step forward — Pacheco's first EP made in collaboration with an Atlanta sound engineer and producer, John Dismukes, and the most focused artistic statement yet. The EP draws directly from lived experience: a period of psychic disturbance, spiritual crisis, and the slow, hard work of choosing to remain. It is the kind of record only someone who has been inside a specific darkness can make — and only someone with the craft to reconstruct it can make listenable.
